Karen became interested in training as an acupuncturist after her own treatment for recurring headaches. This inspired her to change direction and study as an acupuncturist. Karen sees a wide variety of patients who come with many different conditions and is committed to continuing professional development. Her courses include treatment for musculoskeletal conditions, emotional imbalances, auricular acupuncture and treatment for children.
Karen has been practising acupuncture in Reading since 1999 when she qualified from the internationally renowned College of Integrated Chinese Medicine. She uses a combination of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Five Element acupuncture to help restore the body’s equilibrium.
She has a particular interest in women’s health and has completed postgraduate study in obstetrics and gynaecology, IVF support and fertility. She regularly sees patients during pregnancy, labour and birth.
Karen is a member of the BAcC, the largest body of professional acupuncturists, they guarantee excellence in training, safe practice and codes of conduct.
